What map software do you run in your gps unit?

Do you like the one you have or are you planing an upgrade?

My Lowrance came with a map upgrade for free. $99 value. I have the southeast maps, called Fishing hotspots pro.

The boat I just bought has a bird 595c on it but, with the initial outlay for the truck, boat, all the stuff that goes along with it have to put off buying maps for a while.
Not looking forward to it. Live right on the Il side of the mississippi so, will have to buy two sets to get Il and Mo...

I don't know what brand it is. The writing is wore off. I just know it's the SE region. Looking forward to start marking my own spots with that thing.

I've been using Navionics Hot Maps for quite a few years and have been happy with them. The new Lowrance HD Lake Insight mapping is pretty good too. A lot depends on which lakes you fish.

ahhhh you dont need the gps to actually work to look at the map....when you load it you should see great detail of the lake, depths, etc....

Hey, what can I say. I've never even seen anything like this before. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I can't wait to use it with the puck.

I gotta say I'm a little confused by all the different map products. I stopped by the marine store today for some oil and was looking at the HDS 5. Played around with it a bit but there was Insight, Hot Spots, some chips you could by etc. and some platinum navionics. I walked out of there confused as heck and was wondering what the real cost of the unit would be if you buy the map software to go with it. All i want is some regional maps with good detail that have some preloaded fishing areas when I explore new lakes in my region.
