I put the Phoenix to bed Nov 1st, as deer season was already here. Now it's Dec 3rd, rifle season ends Sunday. We have a week of muzzleloading, but not me this year, heading for Florida instead.

12 degrees here today[12/9], lake is ice covered but not safe yet. Will be ice fishing before Christmas if weather continues.

It was 17 this morning but highs are going up to the mid 40s

Had a buddy call me from home(1000 islands,ny) told me there's people driving vehicles on the ice already. Said the ice is 10-12".

There's been a warm spell in the 1000 Islands region for about a week now[50's[. Alot of water on the ice and it's melted away from the shorelines. I've been told you can still get on, but be careful!

Weather pattern has broken......starting to warm up, snow starting to melt. Been to Bass Pro three times in the last couple weeks alone. Bring on the fishing!
