If someone had told me that on a cloudy day, with a 20 to 25 mph wind, that the bass would bite, I'd have called them a liar. But I honest to God had my best fishing day in my life today. Went to a lake one of my maintenance guys has permission to fish. We hit the water about 6:45. We hadn't moved 10 feet from the bank when my partner caught the first one. He was using a white spinnerbait. I was throwing a buzz right off the bat. He caught another one as soon as he released that one. We didn't keep any at all, but by noon, we had caught 125 bass. That's right, 125. Largest one was about 4 lbs. I could have filled 3 extra large coolers with all the fish we pulled in. We honestly quit about 12:30, because we were both getting sore from casting and reeling in. Have no pics, because we were fishing out of a water scamp. Barely had room for our equipment. We had 25 in the boat in the first 15 minutes. I've never experienced anything close to it. Sorry such a long post, but couldn't help myself. Still pumped up, but tired as crap.

Glad you had a good day. Those days don't come very often, I don't care where you live. It was 65 here yesterday and we lost a lot of snow, but many lakes still have up to 17" of ice on them. I am jealous to say the least. But I am still glad you had a good day.

It was beyond a doubt the best day I have ever had fishing. I see guys on here posting where they caught from 50 to 100 bass in a trip. I've never had that to happen. Probably me, but still it's never happened. I am actually so sore today, I can't move without hurting somewhere. hahahahah... That's a first from a fishing trip too. It was a private lake owned by a church in Eudora, Ms. fellows. There, that's all I'm saying bout that one. hahahahahahah.. Darth, you are dead right. I needed a day like that.

Great to have days like that. Been fishing about 60 years and days like that come along about once a decade. Sounds like the type of farm pond fishing that can be fantastic as long as it's not pressured and big ones are released. Probably wouldn't hurt a pond like that to keep some fat runts for the pan. Sounds like that pond is at it's peak right now, but that doesn't always last unless controls are put in place to keep it that way.

Yeah TC, the man that owns it told us to keep as many as we wanted to. I did last year when we were there, but didn't keep any this time. Just wanted to have a good time.
