But now need to find that 28ft Bass Boat to put it on. :party0045::cheers::first: Yes this baby would scream, leave the rest sitting on the porch as they can't run with this big DOG...http://www.boatingmag.com/engines/outboards/seven-marine-557

Yes 557 HP outboard should scoot the 28ft 9ft wide boat like a rocket ship.

OK what part of real do you not get? Or did you not read the info at the link? Here's a quote showing they had them on a boat, and unvaled them at a show.
((Even while the Seven Marine motors that were unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show in February remained dry on an Intrepid 370 transom, naysayers piped up.)) This is at the bottom of the page when you click on the link.

Also herea a link to these motors hanging on the back of a boat.

They are still in prototype mode. Not a compete production motor yet is what I meant. When the word prototype is used, it means it may be real but still in testing or made for shows to check interest in the product.

I have said it before, but thats a funny picture...cleaver props on lower-units that look as hydrodynamic as a dump truck

But you posted it was not real yet??? That to me means its not even been built as in one motor. But theres a pair of them.
Don't think we will ever see them made for real life. But sure the Drug runners will have 4 on each boat soon.

Darth I dont think it matters when there's over 1100 hp on the back. It's like straping a Atlas rocket to a school bus, sure the bus is not aerodynamic, but with 1100 hp it's gonna haul ass. Wildwolf, I agree the drug runners will have 'em on something soon. I think there are sexy and a work of art, just looking for Darth Maul and Luke to pop out of them.

Not quite the same to compare the two.

Its just for show...notice in the real pic they have 5-6 blade props that are nothing like a cleaver.

Shoot I bet it takes a lot of blades to hook that much HP up. I can see it now, one of those on a 26ft Allison set up for fishing. 0 to 110 in 6 seconds and don't forget how many dollars to get it set up for that last 37 MPH.

With one of these on the average 20-21 ft bass boat you'd need some kind of spoilers to keep the boat from going airborne! LoL!!:first:

i thought i read awhile back that they are selling them already and one saltwater boat manufacture was carring them but way to big and heavy for any bassboat. also i think the price was over 50 or 60k each

You couldn't pay me enough to sit in a boat with one of those on the back. Looks like something out of a movie. hahahaha
