Got on the water about 3:30 pm and fished till dark. Water temp was about 86-87. Visibility was about 10 ft because of lack of rain for so long. Caught about 4 or 5 swimming a zoom speed worm in the stump fields. When the wind picked up a bit more, I let the wind drift me through the river channel stumps and swam the worm from the stumps out to the channel and bam! She hit the worm like that was the last bit of food. She went 5lbs 10oz on my scale and put up a good fight. Then got one more about2lbs on a buzzfrog on a shaded bank.

I hadn't even heard of Rodman until you posted this. I checked it out on Google Maps and it looks like a real nice place to fish. Did it recently go through a drought though? Half of the lake is empty except for the river bed on Google Maps.

They probably took those pics a couple of years ago when it was being drawn down.

Update on Rodman damn as I see it's been awhile for a report, Rodman damn is full after a winter draw down to kill aquatic vegetation, river is over 20' and stump fields are about 15 to 20 and water is clearing up...... in case you are not familiar this is a lake created by a damn many years ago and is a great habitat for fish, birds and many other animal species. If you ever get a chance, go there to fish or just enjoy a beautiful place created by Man but maintained by Mother Nature. Fishing has been soft but it will come alive soon as the water and fish get back to the norm......
