View Full Version : Innerloc Illinois State Champion Bowfishing Tournament

A freind of mine from another site was entered in this tourney on the Illinois River. They won the tourney with 2738 total fish which they estimate at around 11,000 lbs and they never shot a bow. The total for the tourney was around 48,000 lbs of asian carp removed. The carp were hauled off and ground up for fertilizer. The sad part is that didn't even put a dent in the asian carp population in the Illinois river.

This is a video shot by the 3rd place team. I can't imagine running down/up that river. A guy could get killed.

see why I wear a full face helmet when I am on the IL river! it sucks.....

Those fish average about 4 lbs with some up to 30 lbs. They can do some serious damage to a person. Let alone knock you out of the boat.

I cut one in my boat last year almost 60 lbs.....broke 2 fishing poles.....then I broke the fish.
