Is there no fishing in the SouthWest?

Not a post in this forum since January, what the heck do you guys do out there?

Brand new guy here! My older brother and I spent a week on Eufaula Lake (Oklahoma) over the last week of July. The only successful fishing we managed was the cold water bottles from the cooler. I'm guessing that it was entirely too hot for the fish and they may have gone North for the summer. We did manage to pull a few perch from the lake so it wasn't too bad.

In Oklahoma, we mostly sweat. My older brother and I hit Lake Eufaula during the last week of July & caught only the water bottles that we fished out of the cooler. I'm nearly convinced that all of the fish went North for the summer.

Actually, I did manage to catch a giant perch that shrunk slightly when it hit the 100+ degree temperature air.
