Another Curiosity Question!!!

Some time in the near future I hope, I will be rewiring and old 14ft Fisher Marine I have had since the 70's. Will be using nothing but the trolling motor and running lights (Running lights only because I will periodically be in a creek off of the Alabama River - don't need a reason for a ticket)! Will be running a 20lb Trust or so hand control Motorguide. (Going to rig it where I can use it up front rather than the transom) What gauge wire do you folks recommend for that load. Hard to find any markings on the wire due to the age and what wire is visible has had many hours of sun exposure. Looks like maybe at least a 10 gauge.

10, 12, and even 14 should be fine. I've rewired a lot of things on my boats, and never had any problem out of them. Yes BB, I did the wiring. hahaha
