Jay, I put my prop on this weekend (turbo lightning 3-blade 23"). By the way, thanks for the promp service. I recieved my prop in three days. Anway, I am seriously considering the thought that this prop outperforms my 4-blade powertech to include the hole shot. I was truly satisfied. With this prop, I got what I was after..........I am now able to reach 6k RPMs at WOT. But I do have a question, this prop gave me the 200-250 extra RPMs that I needed. But my speed did not increase. I'm still at 60mph (gps). I kinda suspected that the additional RPMs might give me 1-2mph. My boat is an Xpress X19 with Yamaha four stroke 150. Currently running about 4" below pad. Should I go higher with the motor? I was told that my TRO4 powertech likes to run high, but the torque was getting too bad. Do these Turbo's like to run high also?

Yes they do like running high..You know! I never asked you what boat you have but now knowing I will tell you something that may be a shock to you. The best running prop I have ever seen on this same setup but with a 2 stroke 150 is a 3 Blade Ballistic with extra cup, but the Turbo is a better quality prop with a life time blade warranty. Even though you are 4 inch's below the pad, what I would do is start raising the motor until rpm's start going up. sounds a little crazy but I have seen boats raise the plate 1/2 inch and never effect the rpm's but would increase the speed just from the decrease of the gear case drag. never assume that the boat is maxed out until you play with the plate.

I'll raise the motor in 1/4" increments and see if I can squeeze out a little more speed.
