I had a half day tourney this past saturday at Guntersville. It wasn't all night although I wish it was probably would have done better. Anyways it was from 4 am till noon. Caught probably 15 or so fish and all but 1 was 14 and 1/2 to 14 and 3/4. And of course there is a 15inch slot limit. the only one that wasn't tipped the scales at 4.58 pounds. A really good bass in my book. and he came in the middle of the day flippin under boathouses. I wish my fishin buddy and I had started doing that earlier. The nightime spinnerbait bite was slow, only a few slapping it caught a couple on a big worm they too were too short.
Earlier in June I fished in Guntersville just play fishin for 3 nights and did awsome. With the spinnerbait bite was great as well as the big worm. Tried a buzzbait for the first time at night and only caught 1 fish. I was up there with a couple of buddies and it was just unbelievable how many good size fish were caught. The biggest one that was caught was on a Spro frog at almost dark in the grass. This big girl really wanted the frog and she weighed 6 3/4. Sorry to all the catch and release folks out there she was the only one kept and she goin on my wall.:D

Heck, I haven't figured out my new home lake in the bright light of day, I'm not about to run around out there in the dark!

But I have thought about it with the daytime temperatures being what they have been.

I wish I could be. In So. Cal. there are very few opportunities to fish at night. Pretty much all the lakes are closed at sundown. Once in awhile they'll open one up for a few night tourneys or once a month moonlight fishing.
Up north on the other hand you can fish whenever you want at most lakes

i love fishing in the hot summer at night. Down here in Alabama the summertime sun can get tough factor in the humidity and its really hot. Fishing at night you can escape the sun and the party boaters and jet skis. Whenever possible in the summer if im fishin its going to be at night.

We had a night tourney couple of weeks ago. Night bite was slow. Caught all of my keepers before dark and between 5:30 - 7:30 next morn. Makes for a long night but nice not to have to fight skiers and jet skis. Had about 10 total keepers come out of the dark for 11 boats most came c rigging offshore humps.
