Does anybody know of a way to return an old fuel tank to the white look it had when new? I've got mine out and would like to make it look better than the old yellow tint they all get over time.

I think I cleaned one up with bleach one time but I'm concerned that that removes the natual oils or whatever and causes more harm than good.

As you know a Bullet gas tank has to come out to do just about everything in the bilge area. I used simple green on mine straight when I had it out. spray on scrubbed with a stiff brush and wiped it off. it got all that bilge stain off and got it to the original pinkish color. Looks new again.

Nope... that din't work either. I can't list all the things I tried but none of them worked. I called moeller marine, the tank manufacture, and asked them if there was a way to restore the look. A resounding "NO" is what I got. So now I have a very, very clean - yellow fuel tank!
