Hey Guys,

I think my dealer is trying to rip me off. They want to charge me over $2300 bucks to replace two skeeter 21 I class fiberglass fenders?

Does this sound right?:mad::mad:

Sounds nuts to me. Try another dealer if possible or maybe consider stainless steel ones.

Tandem stainless go for around $500.00, could be right if thats including labor, tax and shipping..But I would get a second bid from another dealer just to make sure..

thats a little high but close . those FG fenders aren't cheap. Im assuming they were going to be painted to match and installed. Im betting they were metalflake too. Just painting them would be around 400.00 to 500.00 possibly more . then inner panels need to be made and carpeted plus the actual price of the raw fenders. yup sounds close. If its a repair due to and fender bender the ins. should handle most of it.

wow if thats close to a real price I'm really glad I have steel fenders. Heck my fisrt bass boat only cost 1500.00

I just now priced out a tandem fg fender raw, no lights or paint
500.00 for a side jumps to 700.00 per side for inner panels inc. no lights
so 1400.00 for the fenders plus shipping and the mounting hardware was also extra.
still no paint.
I just wanted to make sure of my statement up above

one more thing. that was my price not sure what a walk in would pay.
now as an installer If I were to be in that business I need to tack on a little sumthin sumthin for profit on parts. So the more I look into it this sounds like a realistic price when all the dust settles.
purchase. 1400.00
ship. 100.00
paint. 400.00
install 400.00
total 2300.00 sounds close dont ferget uncle sam's cut 7-8%

Bullet,

I was afraid of that answer. Yup metal flake fg fenders w/lights etc are expensive includes freight out to Washington state.
