This past week I added a little more setback. Went fron 8.5 to 10.5 inchs, Let me tell ya, It made one heck of a positive change. Still running the Turbo TXP ot-4 30 pitch which is stock (except for leading edge being almost razor sharp) she jumped up to 85.1 mph @6200 rpm with out a problem, handling was like a dream compared to how it did with the 8.5 inch setback. Next week I will run the Mazco R.E.

Well yeee Hawww.... sounds like you're havin' lots of fun. It's work - but fun work when you get those positive changes. What do you think you're looking at speed wise in the final configuration - gotta goal?

90 and I'll be happy. I have been reading topics on Allison and TXP props, most of them say that mid 80's is about average for this prop. Still got the R.E. to try out for the top end numbers. My run today was solo with a full tank of gas, livewell full and all tackle on a short lake. The Mississippi river is coming up 1 to 2 feet a day from all the rain up north, trash floating everywhere..limbs..logs.don't want to take a chance out there..

Lake Washington, about 23 miles south of me, theres only one good stretch on the south end, nothing like Lake Ferguson were you got about 6 straight miles, but like I said "Logs and Limbs"..I want run again till next weekend..I would really like to go over to Lake Chico but the water is still down to low for me, scared I might tearup my prop..I'm like a mechanic, I don't mind working on someone elses prop, just don't like working on my own..:D:D..
