Wareagle introduced this boat a year or 2 ago and they really did there homework. Tis boat I have seen in action and to tell ya the truth it is a performer in all aspects. It has some innovations that arent available in any other boat that sets it apart from the others. Here is a little info on them for those interested:

Following in the reputation of all War Eagle Boats, the 962 Tomahawk is built tough, but performance is its strong suit. The transom has a built-in jackplate and air ride hull with a reverse chine for more lift, improved turning ability and a very smooth ride. One optional feature is the cool mist air conditioning system—located in bow, the cool mister will keep you cool on those hot days.

The tomahawk gives you the strength and durability of aluminum, but with the style and comfort you may not expect from aluminum. The 962 has a very stylish console and interior. It comes standard with hydraulic steering. Other noteworthy standard features include: two top loading rod lockers that accommodate rods up to 7 ˝ feet, a butt fishing seat with powerpole extension, a casting seat with pole extension, lockable storage, storage under seat, an ice chest, a divided livewell (68 quarts), a 25-gallon built-in fuel tank, 24v trolling motor wiring, bilge pump (500gph) and splashwell.

By the way this picture was taken on beautiful Lake Monticello......home of the next state record bass.

The Tomahawk has been out for about 5-6 years now. Very nice tin basser. They did have a big 21.5ft one with a 225 rating! The cool mist feature is pretty slick as well.

War Eagles IMO are some of the best built tin boats out there. They may not be the fanciest or cushiest but would be on my list if I were to go tin someday.

I remember that they once had a water misting system on them that kept you cool in the summer months...I wonder if they still have that feature? I looked a a couple of war eagles at the Ranger dealer at Lake Fork and they sure seemed like a solid well designed boat. If my Ranger ever wears out I might try one out.

Tell ya what I will do andy......I will find out the pricce fer ya......and yes they are a great performing boat...........I am not putting down an express or a G3 tin boat but I will tell ya I know first hand that a Tomahawk will SMOKE and I mean SMOKE EM BAD as far as running. The smaller Tomahawk with a 130....single person and light load hits low 60's consitiently. I didnt think it was possible till a bud of mine threw me the keys and I turned on the gps..........61 is what I got out of it......blew my mind. The thing is all that 130 has as far as I know is tight heads on it.

These boats have been around for some time and are battleships when it comes to durability and comfort. I think they are making a glass boat now? I thought I saw something earlier this year on one set up more for southern bass/crappie fishermen? Let me know.

Thanks,
