Hey Champion.......I do know what will set that champion up to run and run well..........all she neds is a 6" jack plate like the CMC manual plate............those champs really wake up with the additon of a jackplate.

Well thank you. It took me a while to find what I wanted (a 20'01, 20'02 or 20'03) but when I saw her I knew that was the one. I paid to much for it but it was the one I wanted. Very fun to be getting back into it after about a 8 year break do to family and work.

haven't seen the champ tunnel, but the LCB Cat (same principle) is awsome stable, you'll step off the dock onto a LCB and think you stepped onto the shore!
how's that for an analogy!
now, translate that to rough water stability,
BTW, Kona, how's yours for rough water ride, more info!!!!!
I've also seen some other tunnels, stability is their claim, one the coastal folks like also is the Flats Cat, flatscat.com, but it doesn't have any storage to speak of and it's a lower power limit hull, but if ya want skinny water, I've seen them launch to plane in 4" (yes, 4 inches) of water!

It's a great boat, actually I got it for my father for a superise and he told me he loves his Allison and really does not want another one now so my idea to suprise him backfired on me, anyway he had one new in 1981 ( I was 11 then) and I really don't remember much about it but going fast in it. So we are gona pull it in the shop this week and restore it correct to original and sell it.
I can't wait to run it!!

I am in the performance boat business and I think it will do well after the restoration. As a rule they handle ruff water well and with the rite set-up they Haul-A** !!
I have done alot of research on this hull and have found out it is 1 of 15 to 20 ever built per the father (manager of Champion in 1980) and his father(Sales guy in 1980) of a guy I met on BBC.com and have talked to the factory and have alot more info comming so I will keep ya posted on the zackly's ok.

Remington: Will do and thanks for the info again. I put it up for sale for a couple weeks to see if anyone wanted it and not much happened so I decided to go ahead and restore it to original. We moved it in the shop today so we can get on it after the holiday.
