I keep a butt seat in front more to lean on than anything else. It also comes in handy to grab on too when some wakeboarder, etc. goes by .

Ditto.

I don't use them fishing a derby or for fun. I'll put them in if the water is forcasted to be real rough but don't like walking around them.

Over the years I've done to much powerlifting, door kicking and doughnut eating. My knees and hips are shot. I sit.

I keep one in the boat compartment just in case I need it, always ask fishing partner if he wants one for the back.

almost never use a pole seat only when the Hudson or Champlain kicks up and i need something to keep me in the boat.

used one only to have a third leg in high seas (idiot wakes) and hoping not to need one w/ the new cat hull, would be a pleasure to not have it in the way

frug,

I ran a cat hull on the Shadow years ago. Keep your seat handy. They don't "roll" as much but drop harder.

I havent used one in several years but have started back this past year a little bit because of my knees. I use a hand controlled trolling motor and have always liked standign flat footed.

I have to sit anyway. Don't think the ol back would stand up to too much of me standing all the time. I like to be comfortable and lean back while I'm fishing.

I am on my feet 70 hrs a week during work, I figure another 12hrs isn't going to kill me. Butt seat stays home. Rear seat stays in place on the boat. Gotta stand with sea legs, waves no bother. BTW I avoid windy days, it just wears me out fighting the boat and wind to stay on spot.

When I still had my catboat, I didn't need my butt seat on anything but the worst of days. You'll find that with the Lanier boat carrying an 8.5 foot beam almost all the way to the bow, it's more stable than anyone can imagine.

The nice thing about your new boat is that there's so much storage it'll be no problem to store an extra seat or even two should you decide to use one!

I use mine to lean on in rough stuff and it holds tackles in the cup holders in it.And maybe a beverage

And maybe a beverage.

Now, there's the best reason of all, that man has his priorities right! (soft drink, of course!)

I got the pole seats fore and aft...........YES I will admit that I have gotten to a point inlife where I have to have a little added support so I use the butt or pole seat..........

Have a replaced knee, titanium, use the pole to hang on to when rough, and a buttseat to lean against or on.
Something to think about ABA requires you to furnish a rear seat its not an option its a requirement, draw someone fail to have one DQ,should they protest.
Ive drawn guys that didnt have them, but someone can dq them for it.The reasoning is simple not all people have strong legs, knees to stand up in 2 1/2 fters or more and they can buckle, when weak.

I'll use one if the wind gets up. But I usually keep it in the front compartment just in case the water gets pizzed off, something to hang on too.
