And were do "WE" come up with the money to donate??

Oh, thats right its will be at the expense of the the tax payer, "US" and our childern and there children, and there childrens children........

Soooo....I am not a heartless SOB and I do feel for all the people down there but I believe the "donations" should come from the private sector and not from my tax paying pocketbook.

At what point does the USA stop giving to everyone with there hand out?

Just my .02

Transom, I agree totally..

Looks like we are going to continue to finance a corrupt government and gang thugs even after it becomes a non emergency situation...

The world looks upon us bad, until they need our $$

We already send them million of dollars annually...

I am not cold hearted, but when does it stop...

Tsunami, Hurricanes, Earthquakes....

Tell New Orlean Residents to move out of a bowl..........

BigBass
January 15th, 2010, 05:34 PM
and please dont get me wrong, we should feed them and give them water and medical attention........no body should be without that.....

but why build thier government,

Hell, just bring them here, put them to work and make them pay taxes...

frugalangler
January 15th, 2010, 05:45 PM
and give them medical, SS, medicare, foodstamps, don't get me started

New Orleans, any where you have to build a bridge 50 miles long to get there, maybe the swamp should not be crossed, don't get me started

I got to take a chill, BB, I didn't have high blood pressure today, til............

Down Frug, Down. I'd hate to have to be the one that picks up your boat for ya. (Actually, I wouldn't mind, hehe) But I totally agree. I was watching the news and they were talking about all the millions that we have promised, and nobody else is sending money, at least not yet, but China. It's like we have a dam money forest growing somewhere that I've never heard of. Just had to get in on the comments.

thought you guys actually have a heart! It's not the money we giving this people that never really had nothing. besides if we don't do it, someone like Castro, or Chaves might do it, and than we have another problem that would cost more in the long run. Instead of not giving money to this people lets stop giving money to Countries in Asia like Coreas, Yemens etc etc. and lets use our oil rather than buying there's and actually finance the terrorist network that fights against us, with our ouwn help. The Clintons and Bush families get millions a year for advice to countries like Saudi Arabia lets have then step foward and give some to the needed, specially now since we all sharing the wealth.

we give money we don't have to people that hate us and want us off the planet.
we give aide to people that want to kill us
we rebuild buildings that are destoyed for people that didn't have squat before and now have a decent place to live only to have them spit on us and burn our flag
what the hell are we doing people this money pit is dry folks. just say NO. let the dictators feed them if that what they want.
we have folks in the U.S. with no food or homes. how about taking care of home first Mr. Obama.

yeah it was on my last shift, wednsday. our rescue unit responded to it. some moron was driving the wrong way on sr9a for almost three miles and hit a st johns cty sheriff on his way to work. they flew him to shands but he died about an hour after that. it took them almost 30 min to extricate him out. he was a big boy. my neighbor is a sheriff also and she knew him. they're still waiting on toxicology reports from the driver.it happened about 3 am.

Now Hillary Clinton is down there running her mouth....

She is quoted as saying:

"Speaking personally, I know of the great resilience and strength of the Haitian people. You have been severely tested. But I believe that Haiti can come back even stronger and better in the future."

huhhhhh ???..come back stronger and better in the future.:icon_wtf:
Won't take much to come back better than the nothing they had in the first place. Then what, they have there "97th" military Coup after "WE", the tax paying citizens on the US rebuild there country.

OK...done venting...gimmie a beer

Things that make ya go, "hmmmm?":

I see on the driveby news this evening that they're finally admitting them people are looting.....well, duh. I'm thinkin' to self, "Self, if them people are energetic enough to be lootin' and scamperin' off with whatever they can get their hands on.....then they surely got to be energetic enough to dig people out of the rubble." Why are we doing this for them when they ain't willing to do it for themselves?

Second point to ponder: We're (obama by proxy) handing out $100M, military getting used as peace corp, donatitions by cell phone, etc.........If we're all about helpin' somebody out, why's the food pantries at home goin' bare?

:wallbash:

To be honost,
What ever econimcal money you give that country is LOST!!

We have been giving them Millions over the years and its not any better today then what it was years ago.

I believe in food, water and medical...no doubt about that...

As far as supporting any type of government there, forget it, as far as supporting the people any longer ( 80%) unemployment, forget it.

Why do you think there are over 10k faith based organizations down there!!!

And that is your right. If that's what you believe to be the right thing for you to do with your own assets, then so be it.

When you're throwing around other peoples' money (called taxes, collected under threat of prison) to feel the feather tickle your own arse and serve your own purposes, then you're wrong.

Was just taking about this same thing with my wife....just doesn't make sense.

Watched the drive by media tonight and they were showing people out selling all that crap they looted. Way big mark up on stuff, something that cost $10.00 before the quake is noe something like $20.00. Only thing was, nobodys buyin...
