I know the save space but are they durable?
Do you ever have to worry about them coming apart.......?
or are they very secure?

I've been running one on my current boat, a Nitro 901dc, and haven't had any issues with it yet. I've towed it over 40k miles at this point. One of the things I do like about it is that when I leave the boat somewhere, like a motel parking lot as I head out to eat while the batteries are charging, I can pull the pin, swing away the tounge, and drop a padlock in one of the pin holes. Now, with my coupler locked, and the swing away tounge locked and unusable, I feel safer knowing the old girl will still be there when I come back.

Keep grease on the pins so there is no metal to metal action going on.
Keep a check on the play and replace the pins when you start getting play and they should last you for a very long time.
Like I said though it is important to keep a grease barrier between the pin and the hole the pin is in.;)
