We all know that charcoal makes grilling taste best
But when you want no fuss or mess its hard to beat just pushing a lighter
button on a nice Gas grill and walk away
and come back later and start cooking..
I use both....it just all depends
when its raining defitenly gas
Ok new Thread:cheers::icon_welcome:

Ah now. There's nothing like having a charcoal grill heating up with some good hickory sticks in the coals. Hell, if it's raining, I don't grill. hehehe.. I keep hickory sticks soaking in water underneath my grill. Get the coals hot, wrap about 4 or 5 of those sticks in foil, poke a few holes in it, and toss them in the coals. No better way to get that smokey taste than that.

MMMMM....charcoal would be my favorite, I grill out all the time...
I have a grill that is gas start on charcoal its a Weber Peformer.
has a huge gas burner on the bottom just for lighting charcoal works pretty fast. 1/2 the time as lighter fluid and no taste,smell, huge flames.
lump hardwood charcoal for steaks and fish, oak, hickory, and apple wood for smoking no gas or charcoal.

Totally gas grill for me. And I mean natural gas. Never have to worry about running out and filling a tank half way thru the cooking. Used natural gas for the last 7 years and wouldn't change for anything. Just putting in my 2 cents!!

Gas grill here for about 20 years. Have used charcoal before. I'm too impatient waiting for the charcoal to burn down.
I just use wood chips for flavoring in my gas grill. Hickory or mesquite.

I had that at my last house. Connected to my gas line. It is the best way to go if you use gas for your home. But my new house is all electric, so back to the tanks.

Charcoal ALL THE WAY. Waiting for it to get ready is half the fun for me.
I love a good T-bone over the coals. No matter what you add to it, gas just don't taste the same IMO... I don't even own a gas tank, and have never owned a gas grill. I like the idea but can't leave the coals.
