I have a '99 stratos 295 pro elite sc with a 99 yr. 200 hp. jonny. 6" cmc jackplate. 2 300lb people, standard fishing gear. I run in alot of skinny water dont like the hole shot and top speed of my boat. my prop is a 24 pitch raker. I have been adjusting the jack plate up to the point i lose water pressure and then back it down 1/4". I lose alot of bite when i surface that prop. but I need it tall so i can run in 1 foot of water.
The prop doesnt blow out on the hole but its just tough sometimes to get out in less than 2ft. and my top speed is right around 64mph gps. is there a prop that i can run in shallow water and still have some top end?

Play with your vent plugs for a better hole shot.

My prop doesnt appear to have vent plugs in them they are just thru holes with no threads. I would guess they are about .500 dia. do I install plugs to make them smaller or do I enlarge them.

If it's not blowing out then you can drill the holes out larger. I would not get to happy with a big bit for the first time. you should have 3/8 inch holes, I would punch them out to 1/2 inch for starters.
As for the load you have and needing a better holeshot you might want to consider a 4 blade. The Turbo TXP o/t 4 with the PVS holes would be a very good choice.

To get a bit more top end also do you recommend a 25" pitch or a 24" in the 4 blade model?

Normal rule of thumb is when changing from a 3 blade to a 4 blade you will need to drop one pitch, in your case a 23 pitch. A four blade is normally slower than a 3 blade but in some cases if the load is to much for the 3 blade then a 4 blade would be faster simply because it will carry the boat better. The 4 blade will also run the surface better and handle better than the 3 blade.

Sweet. So do I get one through you and how much do they cost?

The o/t 4 are 375.00 plus $40.00 for the pvs holes then another $17.99 for shipping.
