OK, get ready for a fish story...a true one that happened less than 24 hours after I put the boat away from Laus3's tournament. The family was over for Sunday dinner last weekend. The nephews showed up rigged for the big catch of a PACU that has been dubbed "The Lake Monster" we have been seeing off my dock many times over the years. I hooked it once last year on a piece of pork fat and it stripped all my line.

The "Set Up"....A PACU is a relative of the Piranah and is native to the Amazon. However, due to aquarium releases they are showing up all over the U.S. and now in parts of Europe, most recently in Paris! Check River Monsters episode "The Mutilator". Current WR is 54 lbs. also caught right here in Broward County earlier this year.

I saved all the chicken skin from dinner and they fished off my dock B4 sundown. Now check the PIC's. That's a 60 LB Boga Grip bottomed out!

The IGFA, also here in Broward County says it's a record if we certify the scale but we know it's bigger. So we ordered a certified 100Lb scale, released the fish and they are coming back to catch it again next weekend. I have 2 videos of the catch & release but I can't post them here.
Just thought you all would enjoy this. :first:
