Well ran out for a bout an hour and a half this morning. Half way through the trip I went in my forward tackle compartment for some drop shot worms that I knew were in there but couldn't find them. So when I got home I drug everything out of the compartment and spread it out on the living room floor. For several years now I have used plastic boxes made for kids pencils and crayons ect to store most of soft plastic baits. I have a couple of the soft sided tackle wraps with the plastic pocket type pages that Ive really come to like about two years ago. Today I grouped all baits by type: flukes, stick worms, craws, frogs, beavers finesse worms, grubs, worms and large worms. When I had more than one pack of a certain color I would combine them all into one package. Then I put craws, grubs, beavers, creature baits, and frogs each in their own box. regular sized worms were subdivided according to color and all went in their own box. The magnum worms, flukes and stick worms were each too many (and too large in the case of the mag worms) to fit in the boxes so they got a different treatment. I took the two wraps and removed the pocket pages from each. The mag worms went in one and stick worms in the other like mini duffle bags. The flukes for now ended up going into a zippered mesh bag that we used to use for the kids socks in the laundry when they were toddlers. Its a bit large so Im going to keep my eyes out for something better sized. All in all the compartment looks a lot better and I know that I can find anything I want in seconds instead of digging and searching for a bait I think is in there somewhere lol.

So what little tricks is everyone else using to keep baits sorted?
