Ever notice that whenever someone's fishing on TV or a movie they always have the rod upside down? If it's a spinning reel, see below, if it's a trolling or baitcaster, still upside down as in the State Farm commercial with the old salt dangling a dollar. Is it intentional or just that they have no clue? Either way, they all have to reel backwards for the scene. Seems to me someone along the line should have figured that out or they just assume fishermen will find it funny or we are just stupid and don't give fishermen any credit in Hollywood. I've seen it so many times I just had to post this for your comments. Just one of my pet peeves lately.
