Decided to take a personal vacation this year and go to the classic. Let me say this: It's cold. The type of cold that rips through your clothes and cracks your skin. Being a Floridian, I'm not found of extreme cold. However it should be interesting to see how the pros do their fishing.
Greensville is an absolutely amazing city. I took a walk down mainstreet and through Falls Park, and I didn't want to leave. The waterfall and suspension bridge over it were absolutely stunning. The people were very friendly, and the buildings in the area looked modern and vibrant.
Outside of the city you have every type of store you could want. I stopped by a Cabela's for the first and left impressed. It's not quite a Bass Pro Shops, which is more of destination than a store, but I could still spend hours there. Word has it there is a BPS being built nearby too.
Tomorrow, I'm doing the Classic Expo and Weigh In. I had planned to do the blast off, but with it being less than ten degrees outside, I'm going to skip it in favor of a warmer Saturday launch. I'll bring back lots of pics.
