The Keystone Heights, Fla., pro suffered mechanical issues two days in a row at the Costa FLW Series Central Division event presented by Mercury on Lake Dardanelle and nearly had to scrap his tournament on day two. Broken down but not out, Fitts said a prayer for guidance, limped into a small pocket not far from takeoff and sacked up the tournament's biggest limit - more than 23 pounds - to make today's top-10 round. Still dealing with a temperamental motor this morning, Fitts pieced together 17-4, the biggest stringer of the final day, to eventually claim the win. He overcame a final-day deficit of nearly 7 pounds en route to his victory.
