I need a baseline recomendation for a prop....

I wouldn't waiste the time trying the Renegade, stick to the Raker, they are great props unless they've been to a bad prop shop.. When looking at the Raker make sure it still has its cup especially out in the tips, if it looks anywhere close to flat don't touch it.

    Brakeover revs

I would go 1/4 inch at a time, doesn't sound like much but a little will make a huge difference. Test top end speed everytime you drop or raise the plate.

Have you tried lowering the motor? The Fury is only 14 inch diameter and likes being ran deeper, it does however have some of the same characteristics of the Mercury Tempest, which is slippage at break over.

    A Challenge For Ya Jay

My only other suggestion would be to shorten the rods some. That is if u have them the full maxed out length.

Did u try lubricating the rods with a lite grease. As for heat, 300 want hurt it at all.

I would cut some rods out of plan ole steel to test this prop with. If you dont like the prop you want be out much $$$$$ for the O.E.M Parts..

    A Challenge For Ya Jay

I was wondering what the prop diameter is like 14 141/4 or whatever else it could be. No never heard of him. As for the drag prop, I now have a Yamaha 28 drag but its no where near enough prop. I have since gotten 2 Spinelli DR 4 30 pitch, I love them.

I hate to say it but I don't have a clue but my first guess would be Powertech because the hub reminds me of the cushion lock system they make.

If all else fails, remove the bolt and take it to a bolt and screw store and have them match it up.

Hijacker is made by T-H Marine, I would check with them first..Most stainless steel bolts have a number on the head.

If you plan on getting a jackplate do it first then get a prop, a lot will change when you install the JP.

Testing is the only way you will ever know, spend the time to do it, what works on one boat sometimes will or alot of times will not work on another. I agree with Darth on the engine height....Even though a jackplate is very much needed at this point of the game to achieve MAX performance.

    89 Stratos 285 Problems

Personally I would take the Raker over the Gade simply because its s great performer. He's needing at least 700 RPM's , the 22 should put him there. Do the math of 3 vs. 4 blade RPM's , I come up with a plus of 700 which will equal 5700 at w.o.t..

That's right they only come in even sizes . Since your needing so many RPM's go with the 22 pitch. That should put u at the top of the rpm range your motor needs. Holeshot will be improved also.
