I have a 1990 Stratos 201 Pro XL with an Evinrude 200 XP mounted on a CMC 5.5" manual jack plate, Shooter 4 blade 27 P 13 1/4" dia prop. I was too high on the first run and could not plane at all. The cavitation plate is now 1" above the lower pad on the keel. Now it porpoises like mad around 30-45 mph. its gets worse the higher the speed. I have read in the forums here, that if I raise the JP an 1" or 2" it should go away. (Now before I restored the boat and installed the JP it performed great @ 58.5 mph). This is a very trying project. Any advice would be great.:wallbash:
