Time Line History: 1977, The 201 Champion. The second "Super V" hull that John Storie began. It was the first 20 foot bass boat on the market. For years it was THE 20 footer to be judged by no others. With an 86 inch beam (which was large back then) it was the premier rough riding water boat on the water. Caddy smooth riding and excellent over all performance. Runs good with a 200 and much better with a 225. The 201 was produced until the mid 90's until the 202 and 203 bumped it out of production. It's a shame because its still a hell of a hull. If your looking for one not to worry careful shopping on criaglist and you'll find a dimond in the rough.

I was at the Cops for Kids tourny this year and saw a jaw dropping perfect 201 at the docks. It was 90's green with metal flake and just looked mint. The owner said he was the original owner and bought it in Pontiac brand new. Other than the repower with a 200 opti it was all orginal. Wish I'd a taken a pictue.

If you watch the demo video the grey and blue champ running the rude is a 201. When the saong changes you'll see the white and red with Johnson is also a 201.

Pretty neat old hull.
