nvisaSwivel – A FLUOROCARBON SWIVEL!?!?
By ttnews | February 4th, 2010
In our daily activities, we come across a lot of new and innovative products. The Aquateko InvisaSwivels are an exciting new twist on the old metal standard: durability and strength,” said Mark Hilzim, VP of Sales & Marketing.
Mr. Rusty Uhland, the inventor of the product and VP ofNew Product Development at Aquateko commented, “I was tired of having a typical metal swivel corrode in my tackle box after just one use in saltwater. Further, with the entire industry moving towards stealth, I figured that there has to be a better way than the reflective nature of a metal swivel. The InvisaSwivel is a combination of all the good attributes of a swivel without the negatives.”

Mr. Keith Kessler, President of Aquateko said, “The InvisaSwivel line is a modernization of the old metal swivel that has been corroding for decades. Our end users will find it more efficient, more cost effective and, ultimately, more effective for catching fish – -and that’s what it’s all about.”
The InvisaSwivel line represents a revolutionary change in terminal tackle. InvisaSwivels can bend but will recoil to their original position without losing the ability to freely spin. Following the same principle as Fluorocarbon line, these swivels are Flouro-Clear, making them practically invisible in water. The superior resin compound allows the swivel to perform at nearly neutral buoyancy. Unlike with the old metal swivel, rigs with InvisaSwivels will not be pulled allowing a natural bait presentation. The non-metallic properties provide a maintenance-free, non-corrosive swivel for the first time. The swivels are also perfect for the anglers that are not proficient with tying uni-knots. This will allow a standard clinch knot to connect either braid to flouro or braid to mono with the InvisaSwivel acting as the transition. Inshore and freshwater anglers will appreciate the clarity and light weight of the inshore series, with swivels ranging from 12LB up to 55LB in weight class. Offshore enthusiasts will appreciate the heavier swivels, new for 2010, available in sizes from 80LB to 200LB.

About Aquateko
Founded in 2007, Aquateko was started by inventor Rusty Uhland, whose vision of creating an “invisible, non-corrosive” swivel to replace the industry standard metal swivel came to fruition. Aquateko also produces a line of Nickel-Titanium Leader Wire that is unique in its own right. The wire can stretch and then will recoil back to its original length like monofilament and is three to four times more elastic than stainless (which breaks when kinked). The kink resistant properties make it a far superior product than stainless and the nickel-titanium alloy make it far superior than purely titanium wire.
