Adding hot foot!

Here is a tip for adding a hot foot for your boat. Tape your drill bit at about 1", follow the contour of the boat's hull to the left, find the flat spot. Line up the HF where you want it and drill using the mark and the hot foot as a jig. This will give you the proper depth. Most bass boat floors are only 3/8"- 7/16" so if you drill to a depth of 1" with out using the hot foot for a guide don't blame me. You should also disconnect the trottle cable from the motor and coil it up in the battery compartment in the boat. Leave it connected to your control box. That way you can get home if the hot foot cable ever breaks and is a bunch easier to run a new cable for a new hot foot.
