I just aquired a 79 16FT champion/82 140 evinrude and a nearly new 70lb motorguide tolling motor from a buddy day before yesterday (ok ok in a nutt shell I traded 3 reels for it hahaha):Banane47: I know I know its deffinatly a project but I have fished out of it a couple times and from the first I loved it and loved champions from there. It is my first boat but i wanted something smaller so the 16 footer works great. I spent the last 5 yrs working part time at Bass pro in the marine department and have gained some resources that will help with my project! It does need a new deck and stringers and I will end up splitting the boat to do so, it also needs new carpet but i only plan to carpet what was original and dont plan to extend any decks. I will also paint and re-wire which my day job will help with. I would love to clean up the original guages and panels and so on.......let me know what you think! I will take any info and comments!
