Didn't make it out until around 3:30pm but fished until 8:30pm. Fishing was a little slow in terms of what we usually catch down here but the Everglades are known to slow down with rising water temperatures. At 4pm, surface temps were 85 degrees, dropping down to 83-84 degrees as the sun went down. Ran about 10 miles north, launching from Tamiami Trail. Did have 2 monster bass completely straighten out my stock treble hooks that came on my Rapala #13 stickbait and both spit the lure out close to the boat. One looked in the 7's and the 2nd was around the 6 Lb range. I have to remind myself to take the time and change hooks. Swimbaits and topwater didn't fare too well as I suspected due to the water temps and most of the bass we caught were closer to the bottom. Overall, we caught around 20 bass, biggest one being around 3 lbs.
