I just bought a lowrance elite 5x dsi and was thinking of buying a padded hand gun carry case to protect it when not in use. this was a suggestion from my neighbor that said he had a friend that did that. Has anyone heard of anyone doing this. the lowrance cover seams to go for $19.99 and up and i seen a gun case online for $12.50 w/free shipping. seems to me it would protect better than just a cover. right?
