Ok, my father in-law (even though hes a walleye Tx fisherman) just bought him a MINT (talking SANITARY) 2005 Ranger 520vx / 225 Optimax with 300 hours on it.
He's used to Lund 2075's with 300 Verado's, not bass-boats. Its got a 6" Detwiler JP on it. I figured at starting at a 3.75 prop-shaft height and work up from there. It has a unmolested 25" Tempest prop.
Former owner said 80 mph. I literally LOL'd. I said more like 70-72 light and upper 60's weighed down with his tackle store.
Anyone here got any advice?
