Looking for ideas for marine radio for a Bass Boat. I have a Stratos 294 and there are not a lot of good places to mount speakers in the hull areas. Would like something like the Lowrance SonicHub as you can operate it from the HDS head units but just no place for mounting the two 6.5" diameter speakers. There is two consoles in this boat so maybe some (small) self-contained boxes mounted up under there?
Other issue that one installer I have talked with said that most marine stereos really dont take well to the kind of rough beating a bass boat can deliver. Anyone have any experience with this?
I guess another option is just use a simple "boom box" concept that can be easily stowed. Too easy an option though :0
