This may be one of those political posts that some may not prefer to read or discuss but I’m going to express my opinion anyway because I think the country is heading into an area that may change our society for a long time ahead. I’m speaking about Obamacare (as he has gladly endorsed the name) and the vote in the Supreme Court concerning the constitutionality of the individual mandate. One can debate the need for improved and better health care all day long and have a very valid point in doing so. A lot of people I know want a system overhaul. However it’s fairly apparent the majority in the polls think that forcing people to buy health care or face penalties is not the way to do it. The overall design flaw of Obamacare lends itself to eventually make it unaffordable for any competitive private insurance companies to operate therefore the eventual outcome is another unafforadable government entitlement or some socialist structured system where quality is secondary and where bureaucrats make health care decisions in your behalf.

The announcement of the Supreme Court vote, already complete, will not be announced to the public until June. Already this weekend we are listening to our President speaking about that vote in a manner few to no previous Presidents have done. Especially in the odd manner that Obama is doing it. He seems to be warning and lecturing the court and leads one to wonder whether the news has been leaked to him. Either way it seems, IMO, very arrogant, cocky and disrespectful. He seems to be suggesting that if the vote does not go his way that he intends to suggest yet another accusation of judicial bias as many liberals did during the 2000 Presidential election. If this is where he is headed then it is disgraceful. We have separation of powers to assure our Constitution is upheld and kept intact and to suggest otherwise is almost dictatorial style thinking. Even should the court decide his way this still seems very odd. One might ask if it went his way, would it make him even more intentionally arrogant and continue redesigning the country in what he imagines is best for everyone.

Ok, there, I said it as respectfully as I can and if there are those here with a countering opinion I’d sure not be offended to read it. Thanks for this area to post political commentary.
