Well, it was that time again for my neck and thyroid ultrasound. I had been putting it off for over 6 months since the last time I went, the results showed some suspicious lymph nodes and a 5 hour subsequent surgery that i'm still going to rehab for 2x per month 23 months later. Anyways, anxiety level were up but I had to man up and finally go back. For those of you who don't know, I had thyroid cancer in 2010 and lymph node cancer in 2014 so maybe you can understand my anxiety with going back for checkups. Hearing the words "you are cancer free with no signs of irregular cells in your neck and thyroid area" were the best words i've heard all year. I can sleep again and know i'm ok, at least for the time being.... Fu** you cancer, been nice knowing ya in the past but I don't ever want to meet again!
