Three weeks ago I had a no fire on #1 plug on my boat, I called a guy that come in the bait shop a week before (he said he was a marine mechanic) he said to bring my boat over and he would figure out what the problem was, it ended up being the power pack, so I told him when I got the money to fix it I'd be back to get a power pack, He told me to go ahead and take it and stop by and pay him a little every week.
So every friday i've been giving him some cash.
Today took the boat out and it wouldn't go into gear so I called him to ask what might have happened, he said to bring it by for him to look at, to make a long story short he ended up replacing the drive gear in the lower unit(a broke tooth had jammed the shifter), and said he would add it on my tab. His labor rates 3 times cheaper than any other shop around and he does really good work, so thanks to him I can still pre-fish for my tourny this weekend.
You just don't find very many people like this anymore.
