So this spring I took the plunge and ordered a few glide baits. There are finally some in the "affordable" range. $17-$30 is still high-end for me but a lot better than the $75 and up they all were a couple of years ago.
Still figuring out the best setup for throwing them. Right now I'm using a 7' abu veritas medium action rod, bps extreme reel 5.3:1 and 20# seagar red lable fluoro. I'm really impressed with the actions and had 3 followers this morning. It seems like a very fun way to catch them seeing them come up and take it. Excited to pursue this style of fishing
