The 18'4 Champion was the third 86 inch beam hull that Champion built. Rated for 175 hp (high 60's boat) the vast majority of people wished it was rate for 200 (70's). It was the happy medium between the 16'8 and 201. Arguably the best performing and best selling Champion hull ever built. They sold like hot cakes when BASS had the 150 HP restrictions (low 60's). I'm willing to bet there are more used 18'4 out there than any other Champ (along with a ton of used ones). Production stopped in the mid 90's. There is still a huge following for the 18'4s and if you look real hard may be able to find one "light and dry". The last Champ my father owned before leaving Champion and Mt. Home was a solid red single console 18'4 with hot rodded 175 "marked" Mercury. While most of my childhood memories are out of his 16'8 that 18'4 was one sweet ride.

In the demo videos the red, black/silver and red DC are all 18'4's.
