A crazy weather front came just in time for this event, over 400 lightening strikes hit the bay area and passed thru the delta region, The temps went from near 100deg on friday to mid 70's by sunday, dispite the crazy weather 20 teams signed up to fish and stuck it out. Many teams caught alot of fish but with no size, the dominating patterns for the top 5 teams were deep jigs 12-15ft deep on tule ledges, the other pattern was top water in the burm areas. A punch fish or two came to the scales but not many as the deep fish on day 2 had the most stable water temps and seemed to be the better bite, many teams blanked on day2 in these tough fishing conditions as they struggled to find quality fish.

Parents and freinds had Teen anglers compete in this event !
Every youth Angler in attendance was given a prize and many of them cleaned house in the Raffle we had with tons of prizes from tackle, gift checks, reels, free set of tires, 50% of a Dobyns rod and more,Persuader baits gave out a ton of stuff thanks CLiff!!!~!
A youth angler won the raffle prize of a guided trip with Mike Vanguilder jr and Fish wrangler guide service..

Allthough some did not fish they showed up for the seminars and raffle.
Tony Franceschi led off the seminars followed by Randy Pringle as many hung out and ate the BBQ food served by elk Groves Valley Oak Appliance and learned some good tips for the current delta conditions. Cliff Liddy from Persuader Baits set up his booth displaying some new persuader Products including the new seductive shad spinner bait and the new Jumbo Popping Walker!
