I know the term "budget" and Allison aren't used together very often. However, the Allison XB2002 could be considered the "budget" basser of the Allison line-up. I know if I were a dealer (my dream job after the Military) I would market the XB2002 that way to compete in the 18.5-19' Market.
3 Seats configuration (center console)
12/24v TM
In-dash graph (new console is big enough for a HDS-5 and guages)
I could go on, but All your traditional fishing accesseries..
The biggie.... I know people will *gasp* would be keeping the HP to a 150 or 175.
150HO ETEC
150/175 VMAX
175 Pro XS
I can't believe I am saying this, but I will be VERY interested to see if Yamaha in the future developes the VMAX SHO line to include a 90-175 HP range of motors. AS lightweight as their 200-250hp 4.2L motors are they could perhaps make a 2.8L V4 in the 135-175hp that weighs the same as the 2.5/2.6L 2-stroke V-6's (low 400 lb's). If so, I think these would breath new Market openings for the XB2002 and XB/XS2003's.
