ran out for a couple of hours this afternoon, didnt stay long since i had to get back so i could check on my wifes mothers day gift (a new kitten). the smallies are biteing but really short strikes for the most part. had a couple of interesting things happen. first a guy wanted to see how good a bass boat his z71 was, got it really buried 75 yards off shore. highway patrol had shown up to supervise getting him out and im sure it will take several wreckers. the other thing was that i was able to recover a rod my wife lost during a tournament 3 or four years ago. the lake is now low enough i was able to spot a stick that looked a little too straight to be natural. bad part is that when i pulled it out it was covered in zebra mussels. we have had them over at texoma for about 10 years so i figured it was just a matter of time but still wasnt a good thing
