For the last few years my main drive behind my fishing has been to learn new baits and techniques. Some like stick worms, ned rig and swim jigs Ive had great success with. Others like shakey head and hollow frogs results remain elusive.
Now I find myself on the other end of things getting nostalgic for styles that I have set aside for a bit. Last fall I picked back up with upping my drop shot game. The other day as I was sorting tackle I ran across my spider grubs. I couldn't tell you the last time I fished them. My PB came on a Gene Larue spider grub in chartreuse pumpkin pepper on a finesse football head. I cleaned up the box and you can bet I'll be throwing some this season!
