A little thing I normally do before I start using my boat heavily again is take an afternoon and go over the wiring. Something as small as a loose connection or a small amount of corrosion can wreak havic on a trip out on the water.
Take the time to look at every connection and make sure its sealed up and no corrosion,look for any signs of brittle or wires that are dangling tie them up.......make sure there has been no chaffing of wires.
Trust me the couple of hours you spend doing this will give you back HOURS AND HOURS of trouble free fishing. It also will save you money ......a shorted out graph or worse yet a shorted out power pack COSTS BIG!
