The wife's been having trouble with out '02 Suburban not wanting to crank when she takes the kids to school and then again when she wants to head back home from work. The battery drags down then after about 4 seconds it starts up fine. It'll start again right after that but if you leave it sit for awhile it does the same thing the next time you come out to start it.
We have a friend who is the manager of an Auto Zone I told her to take it by there and have him test the alternator and the battery. We haven't changed the battery in about 4 years. If it ends up being that, what do you guys recommend for a replacement? Is it worth spending the extra money on one of those Optima batteries? This is a daily driver but we'll be taking it on a 4000+ mile trip this summer towing a pop-up camper and I don't want to have any problems while on the long and winding road.
