Big Screen Tv's

[OOPSMEN]

The wife and I are in the market for a Big Screen Tv. Been reading articles about which brand is better than the other, (Samsung, Sharp,Toshiba, Panasonic) been to Best Buy talked to salesmen now we have to choose from ( LCD, LED, Plasma) all are HDTV but it doesn't stop there now we have to choose from 720p 1080p not through yet, 60Hz 120Hz , Smart Tv, I guess also not so smart Tv and now 3D HDTV. Ok any suggestions on what to purchase, smart Tv, Dumb Tv, LCD, LED, Plasma, any suggestions will be appreciated. Almost forgot, size doesn't matter.
