Well I got her out of storage this weekend. Hoping to do some early Walleye fishing on the rivers and get my new electronics installed.

BUT, this came at a price and a story.

I had the baot stored at my grandparents shed. It was parked at the east door for easy access. Well the only doos that were plowed out were the west and south doors. So instead of spending time plowing all the snow out of the way, I opted to have my Grandpa back out his Class A Allegro Bus. He said I still won;t be able to back the boat through, but I told him I got that covered.

Well when he backed out the motorhome, I do not think he realized how long it was, and backed it into a snow bank. Bending the plastic bumper cover over and ripping out soem screws. I hooked on with his four-wheeler and backed my boat through the shed around all his other stuff and got it out.

Sweet...

I then guided him back into the shed. I could hear something dragging underneath. So once we got it parked and he got the level jacks back down, I looked more closely at what I heard. What I found was one of his 75 gal gas tank straps was busted in 2 and dragging, leaving only 1 strap holding up the tank. Now the tank sits on a major cross member for the jacks so it only needs 2 straps. I reached in and grabbed the remaining strap and it pretty much crumbled in my hand.

Now he was planning on heading to Texas for another winter this last fall. But due to my Grandma's health they did not go. And if I didn't have him back it out to get at my baot, we never would have known, but he never would have made it to Texas like that and possibly saved some lives. If that would have fell out on the interstate, it would have hit the minivan that was hooked behind and most likely would have caused an explosion.

So all in all... a Blessing in Disguise!
