WELL MAKING A LONG STORY SHORT,bought another lower unit that had a bobs nose cone on it,after installing it found out didnt want to shift just right,not wasted money just time didnt work so no denaro.
Wanted a low water pickup so called bobs late fri ,all automated these days no human,nor do they include shipping at that time,added when they ship.
But no worries its cheap to ship.
Point is they arnt open sat or sun and have the lower unit it was delivered today(WED).
This is an add on to an existing lower unit via epoxy.While this put me back in time as takes labor to install was the best option available .
Cost was but 185 inc shipping,unit purchased was the combo which resembles the sportmans.
While their automated responses arnt friendly their service is superb.
Sometimes not owning a merc (sportmans) one has to go a round about way as they wont fit on a rude without an adapter.Stock gearing still as its a stock unit,just with addons now,or will be soon.
Will give gps readings after installed,and thanks to FastJ will be able to run it high up,with his former hyd jackplate.
So overall experience with these folks at BOBs is GREAT<FAST and a good product for those of us they dont make a factory one for.
It is possible to get a fact unit on a 250etec but nothing else and with a 2/1 gear ratio
