Maybe I'm behind the times but I was looking at some new lures when I was using a gift card recently and bought a Rick Clunn STX hard jerk bait plug just on an impulse buy.
Now I prefer all my top water baits to float quickly after each jerk and that's why I've always been particular to Rapala and Yozuri minnow types so I can see the strike. However, this one after I tossed it in my pool, just sank about 6 inches and stayed there. It musts suspends indefinitely. It defies gravity and really amazed me regarding the technology built into it.
So I threw it in my lake and even though you can't see it, watching the line shows the strikes and several times multiple bass followed it back to my dock I just let it sit motionless, then twitched it slightly and watched them fight over it. Very cool lure.
